Join Lady Mohawk’s Printmaking & Creative Art Workshop — a fun, engaging experience where kids explore printmaking techniques and, in the afternoon, can extend their work into painting and mixed media.

This workshop is designed to build confidence, creativity and self-expression in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Perfect for kids who love making, experimenting and getting a little messy.

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

Morning Session (8:30am – 12:30pm)

Printmaking Lab

A calm, supported introduction to printmaking.

Participants will explore bold and playful techniques including:

• Lino printing
• Tetrapak printing
• Layered colour techniques

Kids will experiment with materials and processes to create a series of prints to take home.

Perfect for beginners and kids who enjoy hands-on making.

Afternoon Session (1:00pm – 5:00pm)

Printmaking + Mixed Media Studio

The afternoon session now includes printmaking, with the option to extend into mixed media layering.

After creating prints, participants can:

• Add colour using acrylic paint
• Explore collage and layering techniques
• Develop their prints into more detailed artworks
• Experiment with their own creative ideas

This session offers a more open, exploratory approach — ideal for kids who want to go deeper and build on their work.

• Half Day (Printmaking – 4 hrs): $85
• Concession (limited): $70
• Full Day (Printmaking + Mixed Media Studio): $160

AGE GROUP

Suitable for children aged 6–12 years

GROUP SIZE

• Minimum 6 participants
• Maximum 15 participants

Small groups ensure individual support and a high-quality experience.

LOCATION

Footscray (details provided upon booking)

WHAT TO BRING

• Water bottle
• Snack / lunch
• Clothes suitable for messy art

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Drop-off program

This is a supervised drop-off workshop. A parent/guardian must sign children in and out.

Printmaking safety

Materials and tools are adapted to suit different ages:

• Children under 9 will use eco-friendly, low-risk printmaking methods
• Children aged 9+ may be introduced to lino or woodblock tools, with close supervision

All tool use is carefully guided. Alternative materials are always available on request.

Supervision & participation

Children are supported throughout the workshop; however, participation is voluntary and self-directed.

Minimum numbers

A minimum of 6 participants is required for the session to run.

Photography

Photos may be taken for promotional use. Please advise if you do not wish your child to be photographed.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Bookings

Full payment is required to secure a place.

Cancellations & refunds

• Cancellations made more than 72 hours prior may receive a refund or credit (minus booking fees)
• Cancellations within 72 hours are non-refundable
• Tickets may be transferred to another participant

Program changes

Lady Mohawk reserves the right to adjust activities or scheduling if required. If a session is cancelled, a full refund or transfer will be offered.

Behaviour & safety

Participants are expected to behave respectfully. If a child’s behaviour poses a risk to themselves or others, a parent/guardian may be contacted for early collection.

Medical & additional needs

Any medical, behavioural or additional support needs must be communicated prior to the workshop.

Liability

All reasonable care is taken to provide a safe environment. By booking, you acknowledge that participation in art activities involves some level of risk.

Late pick-up

Late pick-up may incur a fee.
